Playing beach volleyball is a lot tougher than indoor. For starters, there are only two of you on the court so you have a lot more ground to cover, but on top of that you better be able to communicate with your partner when you are going for the ball. Along with increased communication skills, players ball movement and verticals are improved. Since sand is a lot harder to move in, players have to be very precise in their ball placement so their partner can get to it and deliver a quality set back. Players also learn how to read the court and therefore become smarter decision-makers indoor.
Beach volleyball is the fastest growing collegiate sport, growing every year. You never know, you may just find a love of the sand and get a scholarship to play beach in college.
