Kerri Walsh Jennings had to withdraw from the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships on Friday after dislocating her shoulder in the semi finals. Emily Day will replace the three-time Olympic champion and compete with her partner Nicole Branagh. The two have never competed together, but have trained and practiced together. Walsh Jennings is headed into MRIs and CT scans and will likely be sidelined for some time. She has previously had 5 surgeries on her shoulder. Day booked flights to Vienna to compete with Nicole, wishing Walsh Jennings and speedy and painless recovery.
